Children and teen aerial classes

Our term-time aerial classes for children offer a safe space where they can make friends and develop a fun new skillset.

Our classes keep a low ratio of students to instructors (of no more than 5:1 for our Harpenden classes and 4:1 in St Albans), meaning we can help them to achieve to the best of their abilities. All our instructors are DBS checked and have up-to-date first aid training.

Term-time classes are bought in blocks; our summer holiday classes can be purchased individually.

See our term-time timetable (children’s classes highlighted in yellow) here.

  • We run weekly hour long children's classes for ages 7-11 at The Grove Junior School in Harpenden during term time on Saturday at 9am, 10.05am and 11.10am and Wednesday at 5.45pm.

Classes include two instructors and students learn moves, tricks and sequences on aerial silks, aerial hammock, static trapeze and aerial hoop. Spaces are limited to 10 per class.

We also offer a weekly hour long children's classes for ages 8-11 on Tuesday at 4.15pm at The Yoga Hall in St Albans. This class includes two instructors and students learn moves, tricks and sequences on aerial silks and static trapeze. Spaces are limited to 8 per class.

  • Our mixed ability aerial classes for teenagers for ages 12-17 in Harpenden take place on Saturdays at 12.25pm and 1.30pm, when students learn mainly aerial silks and static trapeze. Classes have two instructors present and spaces are limited to 10 per class.

Our intermediate/advanced teenager class takes place on Saturdays at 3.15-4.45pm, with students learning moves on aerial silks and static trapeze from two different instructors. (Prerequisites for this class: aerial silks - competent at French and Russian climb, able to invert in the air multiple times without assistance, catchers, hip lock. Static trapeze: able to hold front balance, star back balance, inverting in the ropes confidently, solid gazelle.

  • Our children's and teenagers classes can only be booked on a half-termly, block-booked basis, with each class working out to be roughly £14.85 for an hour’s class (apart from teenager intermediate, which are £18 for a 90 minute class.)

We give rebooking priority to those already attending our classes before offering spaces to those on our waiting list. Booking links are sent privately by email and aren’t publicly available online.

If you are on a waiting list for your child and a space becomes available, we will send you a link to purchase an individual trial session (£12) that will take place within the class so your child can see if they like it before committing to the rest of the half term. Please note that we don't offer free taster sessions.

Alternatively, we also occasionally run trial sessions (£12ph, spaces limited to 8) that take place apart from our timetabled classes - those on waiting lists will be informed if one of these is taking place. If your child has done one of these, that means they can join straight in with a block of classes when a space becomes free.
